Legwork

The running around, done without you.

Legwork is your own AI, opened in your business's name and set up around how you actually work. It knows your jobs, your prices and your week, and it handles the chasing, quoting and logging that used to happen after hours. It starts with Groundwork: a proper look at how you work, then a written plan — £500, and it becomes the first £500 of your build.

What could actually change.

Not a list of features — a list of outcomes. Which of these matter for your business is the first thing we'd work out, and we'd go after one or two, not all six.

  1. 01

More of what you quote for lands

Work that goes quiet gets followed up, properly, every time — without you being the one who has to nag.

  2. 02

The admin stops eating your evenings

Quoting, invoicing and chasing happen as a by-product of doing the job, rather than as a second shift after it.

  3. 03

    Nothing falls through the cracks

The thing that should have been sent, chased, logged or asked for, gets sent, chased, logged and asked for.

  4. 04

You can see where you stand

What came in, what went out, what's owed, what's booked. Without a spreadsheet and without asking anyone.

  5. 05

You stay the one who answers

Most complaints about small firms are about communication. This is how being responsive survives getting busier.

  6. 06

    Growing stops routing through you

The bigger it gets, the more every decision waits on you. This is the part that changes that.

What that has tended to look like.

Examples, not a specification. For businesses that quote for work, those outcomes have tended to come from the same handful of things.

  • Enquiries landing in one place with a reply already drafted
  • A written scope and price back from a voice note
  • Quotes that go quiet getting chased on a schedule
  • One word turning an accepted quote into an invoice that chases itself
  • A weekly message with the numbers in it
  • The review asked for at the moment the customer is happiest
  • Somewhere private to ask it things, that knows your jobs rather than just your trade

Whether any of those are right for your business is exactly what we don't know yet. That's what the Groundwork is for.

Groundwork

We look first. Then a plan in writing.

  1. 01

    We look

One real week of your business, walked end to end: how work arrives, how you price it, what happens after, what your accountant needs, what your team needs from you. On site or online, whichever suits how you work. Not a presentation.

  2. 02

    A plan in writing

Within a week: which outcomes we'd go after, what we'd build for them, in what order, and a fixed price for each piece. Including the honest answer if nothing is worth building yet.

  3. 03

    Then the work

Nothing starts until the plan and the price are agreed.

Every cost, in one place.

Three months to start, then thirty days' notice — and when you leave, you take it with you.

First

Groundwork — a proper look, then a written plan

£500

It becomes the first £500 of your build.

  • One real week of your business, walked end to end
  • We look at what you use today
  • A written plan within a week, with fixed prices
  • Go ahead within 60 days and the £500 comes off your build
  • Not worth £500 to you? Say so within seven days and we refund it
  • The 20-minute call before it is free

Then

Legwork — set up around your business

  • Six to ten of you

    £6,500to set up · then £500 a month

The assistant, up to seven automations, a review every quarter

  • Three to five of you

    £4,500to set up · then £375 a month

The assistant, up to five automations, access for the team

  • Sole trader, or two of you

    £3,000to set up · then £250 a month

The assistant and up to three automations

Half to start and half at switch-on, or four equal payments — the same total. Monthly fees in advance; three months to start, then thirty days' notice. Another automation: £500 + £25 a month. We take on a small number of builds at a time; a deposit holds your start date.

All prices exclude VAT at 20%.

  • An account opened in your business's name
  • Your business written up and loaded into it
  • Somewhere private to ask it things, that knows your jobs and your week
  • The parts that do the work, on the WhatsApp Business number you already use
  • An hour's training for you and your team
  • Every automation is tested against your plan before it goes live, and passes within thirty days of switch-on — or we fix it at our cost, and if we can't, it comes off and £500 comes back to you
  • The monthly fee keeps it running: your own instance, hosted and watched — never shared with another business — your automations kept working, one small change a month, replies drafted for your OK, a review every quarter
  • Leave after the first three months on thirty days' notice — we hand the instance over and remove our access

Plus what it actually uses, billed by Anthropic to your own account. Pay as you go, no subscription, no minimum. We estimate it with you before you commit, and we cover your first month so you see a real bill before you pay one.

Worth doing this sum before you decide

Small business owners spend an average of eleven hours a week on admin and finance. Legwork for one or two people is £3,000 to set up and £250 a month, before VAT — about £500 a month across the first year, £375 across two. At £40 an hour, under three hours a week pays for it in year one. An administrator one day a week costs about £494 a month in wages and holiday pay alone.

Then a line only you can fill in: count the quotes that went quiet last month. If one more had landed, what was it worth?

And the honest limit: if Groundwork finds it would give you back fewer than five hours a week, we'd be taking more than half the value — and the plan will say so.

American Express SME Barometer, July 2026 (admin and finance, average across 1,000 owners); National Living Wage from April 2026 plus statutory holiday.

While they last: one of ten founding places — full price, two months of the monthly fee on us, in exchange for being our case study.

One account, in your name.

Everything runs on a single Claude account belonging to your business. It's metered rather than a subscription — you pay for what actually runs, so a quiet month costs almost nothing. The bill is yours, so there's no mark-up hidden in our monthly fee. And if you ever stop working with us, the account and the system stay put; nothing has to move. We open it with you at set-up and show you where to watch the usage.

The parts that do the work run on an instance of their own — yours alone, not a shared system with other businesses partitioned inside it. That's what makes leaving simple: there's nothing to untangle from anyone else, so we hand it over rather than extract you from it. Our Chief Information Security Officer signs off every deployment before it goes live, and again when it changes.

The Claude app on your phone is a separate thing, paid straight to Anthropic, and optional. It's good for general questions. It won't know what happened in your business this week. Legwork will.

Doing this badly is worse than not doing it at all.

A system that fires off a wrong quote, or chases a customer who paid last week, costs more than the admin ever did. So you approve each message template once, and anything written fresh waits for you. We start with two or three things rather than twenty, and if the Groundwork says it isn't worth it for you yet, we'll say so. We'd rather tell you that than install something you don't need.

Tell us what you'd want to change.

Twenty minutes on the phone, a plain answer on whether we can help, and Groundwork if it looks like a fit. No sales pressure.
