Why the company
Why we started EdgeCircle.
Most people find out what's changed from a headline, and then have nowhere to take it. The businesses around them are in the same position, with less time to work it out. Neither is short of information. Both are short of someone who will sit down and show them.
We started EdgeCircle with two intentions: to create opportunity for people who'd otherwise be left out of this, and to help businesses find their way through a landscape that changes faster than anyone can follow alone.
So it's built for both — for people, and the businesses around them. First you catch up. Then you stay ahead: we keep learners, graduates and the businesses we build for up to date as the map keeps changing.
We work with Claude and Anthropic products, and we're building toward a partnership with Anthropic.
Why the name
The edge is where the map is still being drawn — the newest tools, the newest jobs, the part most people never reach. The circle is everyone who gets there together and stays. And in a network, an edge is a connection and a circle is a set of connections that closes, so nobody's at the end of the line. That's the whole idea, in two words.
Our mission
Bridging Britain's AI and cyber skills gap — one person, one business, one partnership at a time.
Our vision
A UK where anyone can build with AI, new ventures start because they can, and every business around them runs better because of it.
What we refuse to do.
- 01
Build once and walk away.
Core is rebuilt for every cohort; every system we install is handed over with your people shown how to run it.
- 02
Move on and leave someone behind.
If something hasn't landed yet, you get more teaching until it has. Nobody is written off as not getting it, and nobody watches the rest move on without them — whether that's someone on Core or someone on your team we're training.
- 03
Sell a guarantee.
We promise what we control: live teaching, honest feedback, a fixed price in writing, and a network that doesn't end after our first engagement.
PACE
How we keep pace.
People
The technology is never the problem; whether someone was taught is. We teach people to build, and we show your team how to run what we build.
Ahead
The map keeps changing. Core is rebuilt for every cohort, and we keep learners, graduates and clients up to date after it.
Circle
Nobody's at the end of the line — that's the name, and it's a commitment. Learners, graduates and the businesses we build for stay connected after the work ends.
Evidence
Working systems and real results, shown with permission. If we can't control it, we won't promise it.
Four things we hold ourselves to — because keeping up is the whole job.
The team
Who you'd be working with.
The people who teach Core, build for businesses, and answer when you get in touch.
Raphael
Chief Executive Officer
“People unlock everything in a business — including what AI can do for it. People are also the ones who let cyber threats in. So we focus on the people, not just the tech.”
Raphael founded EdgeCircle, brought the team together, and runs it from the front: he writes the curriculum, teaches Core, and leads the builds for business clients. He has taught cyber security and AI to college students and to adults on government-funded bootcamps, and before teaching he worked in business development across the German-speaking markets — Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He holds a degree in business management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in computer science.
Christopher
Chief Growth Officer
“The best marketing we'll ever do is someone showing what changed — a learner with the systems they built, a business owner whose admin has gone.”
Christopher leads EdgeCircle's growth — the brand, the content, the offer, and the numbers behind it. His background is corporate financial services, specialising in risk: the right grounding for growing a company carefully. He holds a degree in economics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and co-teaches on the bootcamps and training.
Fortune
Chief Technology Officer
Fortune has been with EdgeCircle from the start. He studied web development at university and is training to teach computer science. As Chief Technology Officer he sets the direction for the technology EdgeCircle builds on and teaches with.
Mohammed
Chief Information Security Officer
“Businesses were under attack long before AI. Most breaches still start with one person and one wrong click. AI raises the stakes — so it has to be done properly.”
Mohammed leads EdgeCircle's cyber security work, from the security of our own systems to the training and checks we deliver for businesses — and signs off anything we build for a client before it goes live. He joined because he takes the risks of this shift as seriously as the opportunity. He brings business experience to the role, and is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) candidate.
Liam
Head of Operations
Liam oversees operations — the systems, tools and processes behind everything EdgeCircle delivers — so every learner and every client gets what was promised, when it was promised, without having to chase. His background is in logistics and customer experience: the two disciplines where the job is making complicated things arrive on time, for people who only notice when they don't.
Abdul
Head of Partnerships
Abdul leads EdgeCircle's partnerships — the businesses we build for and train, and the employers we introduce our graduates to. His background is supply chain management, so he's spent years inside how businesses actually run: where the hours go, what breaks, who's waiting on whom. That's what he brings to every conversation with a business owner — and he's the person people ring back.
Tosin
Head of Learner and Customer Experience
Tosin owns the experience of everyone who deals with EdgeCircle — learners and business clients alike. A course is only as good as the number of people who finish it, and a client only stays if the promise was kept, so both are his job: how people are brought in, how they're supported week to week, and what happens when life gets in the way. He learned that discipline in HR and customer experience at one of the biggest technology companies in the world, where nothing about how a person is treated is left to chance — and he holds a degree in economics.
Michael
Head of IT
Michael leads EdgeCircle's IT — the systems, tools and accounts every learner and client depends on — and he gets every learner's tools set up and working before week one, so nobody loses their first session to a login that won't. Seven years in IT support taught him the thing that matters most in this job: for every problem there is usually a solution, and the job is to find it before anyone else has to.
Nanda
AI Architect
Nanda designs and builds the AI systems behind EdgeCircle's client work — the agents, integrations and automations that turn a real business problem into something that runs. His specialism is where AI meets the physical world: machine learning and autonomous systems applied to industrial automation and robotics, the subject of his master's in AI for engineering. That's the ground EdgeCircle is heading for, and he's already standing on it — which is why he's also building the Physical AI (robotics) curriculum with us.
Jamie
AI Architect
Jamie builds alongside Raphael and Nanda on EdgeCircle's client work, and is preparing for Anthropic's Claude Certified Architect – Foundations exam. He came to EdgeCircle without a technical background and did the learning — which is the point. The people EdgeCircle exists for are people like Jamie, and one of them is already on the team.
